Design for a Cause

I chose to do my Design for a Cause poster on Breast Cancer Awareness. My Aunt had breast cancer and was able to beat it! She is an amazing women, and I look up to her so much. I think that more people need to support the cause. For this poster I decided to use different values of pinks. I also made sure that I used the main logo of breast cancer awareness, the pink ribbon.

Hue Test

I thought this test was so cool! I took it once, and scored an 8, and then when I did the screen shot I exited out, little to my knowledge I forgot to hit alt, AHH! So, I retook the test and scored a 4! Pretty awesome!

Color Assignment

This is my color wheel assignment. I thought the arrows would be neat to use in the wheel aspect of this assignment. I chose to use white to purple in the hue to white part of the project. In my two hue to hue pieces I chose Blue to Red, and Red to Green. I think this came out very well.

Value

This was such a fun, but very annoying and difficult, assignment. I first drew the outline of my head and hair and then I really studied the picture of myself and found all the different values in the picture. I wish that I would have used better textures, but I think it came out well for my first time ever doing an assignment like this one. The one thing I would probably redo is my hair, but I am always changing my hair anyways, so whats new?! :)

Space and Motion

I chose this photo because I thought it was really neat. I think that it definitely uses exaggerated size. The brightness of the bottle on the left is where your eye first lands, and then it follows horizontally across the bottle and then to the man jogging below the drop of water.
I saw this photo on facebook about a month ago and after
reading the chapter and the assignment it came to mind. The fact that the
person on the snowboard is snapped in intervals helps to apply the
illusionistic motion which uses figure repeated.
